A review of a report's conformity with the Social Value Principles, carried out by an independent assessor who did not write it.
This is the counterpart of the principle "verify the result". Social Value International accredits reports assured against its own standards.
Assurance does not guarantee that the number is correct; it confirms that the method was applied in line with the principles and that the assumptions were stated openly.
